What cashmere made of?
Cashmere is made from the soft underdown fibers of cashmere goats (Capra Hircus). These fibers are composed of keratin, a natural protein also found in human hair. Only 150–200 grams of usable fiber come from each goat annually. After dehairing and spinning, the yarn becomes one of the most prized natural materials in luxury knitwear and accessories.
