When does cashmere start to pill?
Cashmere may begin to pill during the first few wears, especially in friction areas such as underarms and side seams. Pilling depends on fiber length, knitting tension, and finishing process. We minimize it by using long-staple yarns, optimized gauge density, and anti-pilling finishes. For brands, we also recommend adding “care instruction cards” with each garment to guide customers on gentle washing and depilling.
