Bespoke Cashmere Knitwear for Saint Amour – A Case Study of 30+ Pieces

Exploring luxury knitwear, custom craftsmanship and a strategic collaboration with Saint Amour Collections

In this collaboration, we worked with Saint Amour Collections — a luxury custom clothier specialising in bespoke suiting and knitwear based in North Carolina.

We developed and delivered 30+ cashmere knitwear pieces (including sweaters, cardigans, pullovers, potentially vests) to complement their tailored-wardrobe offering.

Brand Profile

Saint Amour Collections offers personalised one-on-one consultations, uses Italian artisan tailoring, and provides customised garments including suits, shirts, and knits.

Why this collaboration fits:

  • Our factory / production specialises in luxury knitwear (cashmere, merino, alpaca blends)

  • Their bespoke tailoring clientele expects elevated materials and finish

  • The knitwear line complements their bespoke suits/shirts and extends their lifestyle offering

Design & Production Brief

Key elements of the brief we responded to:

  • Material: high-grade cashmere & silk Double yarn , 100% Mohair , 100% merino wool

  • Style: refined luxury knitwear – e.g., fine gauge, minimal tailoring details, clean silhouettes (crew necks, V-necks, cardigans, zip-knits)

  • Colour palette: (you’ll specify exact colours you produced) e.g., “Ivory, Charcoal, Navy, Camel, Oatmeal, Forest Green”

  • Fit & finish: premium finish (e.g., hand-linked seams, invisible ribbing, couture detailing) tailored for luxury presentation

  • Branding/packaging: bespoke hangtags, special packaging if required (you can note what you delivered)

Material & Technical Specification Highlights

Yarn selection: We specified luxury cashmere grades (for example: 14 micron / 2-ply, 100% cashmere; blends such as 80% cashmere / 20% silk) to achieve superior softness, drape and resilience.
Gauge / construction: Fine knit gauge (for example 12G or 14G) to create a lightweight yet structured drape suitable for bespoke layering.
Finish & details:

  • Hand-linked shoulder seams (where applicable) for a seamless appearance.

  • Invisible rib finishing on hemlines and cuffs for a clean luxury look.

  • Reinforced collar structure for crew necks and cardigans to retain shape.

  • Custom internal side-seam tape or reinforcing tape for cardigans.
Colour & dyeing: We managed premium dye lots to ensure colour-consistency across the run and avoided dye-shift in cashmere. Colour palette selected to complement Saint Amour’s tailoring fabric range.
Packaging & labelling: Each piece labelled with Saint Amour custom hang-tag, packaged in dust-bag or tissue-wrap as per premium delivery standard.
